About

Tao B. Schardl is a postdoctoral associate in the EECS department at MIT.  He is a member of MIT CSAIL and works in the Supertech group with Professor Charles E. Leiserson.  His research draws from both algorithms and systems to develop technologies that support principled, scientific approaches to writing efficient software.  He has previously worked on parallel algorithms, parallel programming languages, compilers, parallel runtime systems, and dynamic-analysis tools, with the aim of making it easy for average programmers to write fast code.  Dr. Schardl received his S.B. in Computer Science and Electrical Engineer from MIT in 2009, his M.Eng. in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from MIT in 2010, and his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT in 2016.
